Ordering :: How to Place an Order

Creating an Account

An Account lets you save time when you shop at newyorkandcompany.com, but you do not have to create one to make a purchase. If you choose to create an Account, we will store all the information necessary to simplify your orders in the future. (The Website's Privacy Policy explains how such information may be collected and used.) When you login to your Account, you will be able to see your saved shipping and billing addresses, and your secure payment information. New York & Company may, in its sole discretion, decline service to or terminate any Account.

We coWhen you have finished adding items to your shopping bag, you may add Gift Packaging or proceed directly to "Checkout". If you want to make any changes before you complete your order, just update your Shopping Bag by clicking on the item or the quantity.

Prices, Taxes and Payment

Prices

All prices are in U.S. dollars, and do not include taxes. Taxes, where payable, are added to your order before you check out. Merchandise available through nyandcompany.com is generally sold at the same price as it is in New York & Company stores, although there may be occasional differences.

Taxes

New York & Company charges applicable taxes in all states except: Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, Wyoming, and Vermont. In states where tax is charged, applicable taxes will be charged on merchandise, shipping and gift packaging as appropriate. Please note that some jurisdictions have different tax rates for apparel and accessories.

Payment

You must pay all amounts that you owe us on each order, including sales tax and shipping and handling charges, when due. You may pay for your purchases by any of the following: New York & Company credit card, Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards, Discover or American Express credit cards. When you pay by a credit or debit card, we will not charge your card until the merchandise is shipped. If your order contains one or more back ordered items, the back ordered portion will not be charged until the item(s) become available. If you receive an "error notice" that we cannot process your payment card information, please check to ensure you entered the correct card number and expiration date, and that the billing name and address you entered match your payment card statement exactly. If a problem persists, please check with the bank that issued your card. You must notify us immediately of any change in your payment card information, including any change to your home address.

Back Orders

We do not currently accept back orders for merchandise at nyandcompany.com.

Shipping Rates and Delivery Information

New York & Company currently ships to the 50 United States and APO/FPO addresses. We ship Standard, 2 Day and Next Day delivery within the continental United States. For shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, or APO/FPO addresses, our standard is First Class mail through the United States Postal Service. Next Day and 2 Day delivery are not available to Alaska, Hawaii, or APO/FPO addresses. At this time, we do not ship to international addresses.

Each order can be shipped to only one address. If you would like to send items to different addresses you will need to place an order for each address. Click here for complete information regarding Shipping Rates and Delivery.

We begin processing your order immediately upon receipt. For this reason we will not be able to cancel your order once you have submitted it to us. If you decide you do not want the merchandise you have purchased, you may send it back to us or return it to any New Your & Company store. See Returns and Exchanges for details.

Order Status and Tracking

If you have placed an order at nyandcompany.com we will send you an email confirming your order has been received and another email confirming that your order has shipped. You can check the current status of the order by clicking on the order number in these emails. Please allow up to 24 hours for shipping information to be updated. If you have created an account you can also check the status of your orders by clicking on Order Status.

Returns and Exchanges

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your nyandcompany.com purchase, simply return it within 60 days of the order date. We provide two easy ways to return or exchange your purchase: to any New York & Company store, or by mail to nyandcompany.com. Click here for complete information on Returns and Exchanges.
