RETURNING OR EXCHANGING ITEMS

Start a return or exchange

We hope you love your purchase but if you don't, New York & Company will give you the option to simply return or exchange it within 30 days of the shipping date. Exchanges are always free and refunds are at the net price (after coupons and/or discounts), minus the restocking fee $9.95.

Eligibility for Return or Exchange:

  • Items must be unused, unworn, and in the same condition as received.

  • Products must be returned within 30 days from the date of shipment.

Non-Returnable and Non-Exchangeable Items:

  • Final Sale items are not eligible for returns or exchanges

  • Gift cards are not eligible for returns or exchanges

  • Products returned post 30-day window from the date of shipment

FREE EXCHANGES To initiate an exchange, please follow these steps:

  • Identify items and print mailing label To begin your free exchange, use our return & exchange portal to create and print a prepaid shipping label. You will have the following options: Exchange your return for another color or size using your return refund

  • Prepare your package Pack your return securely, in the original package if possible, and include your packing slip (generated via the interactive returns process). Affix your shipping label to the package, making sure no other tracking labels are showing.

  • Ship your package Ship your return within 7 days of creating your exchange request. Post that your exchange order will automatically get canceled.

  • What Happens Next? We will send send you an email with the order confirmation and new tracking number once the package is shipps.

FINAL SALE POLICY: At New York & Company, we want to ensure a seamless and transparent shopping experience for our customers. Therefore, we have implemented a Final Sale policy on items marked as final sale to provide clarity and avoid any confusion regarding returns. Once a purchase is made on any item marked as final sale, it is considered final and cannot be returned.  We encourage our customers to thoroughly review product details, specifications, and images before completing their purchase. Please note that this Final Sale policy is in place to maintain operational efficiency and offer competitive pricing to our customers. FAQ EXCHANGES

How often can I exchange my exchange? One time

Are there any fees for exchanges? No, the restocking fee of your return and the shipping fee of your exchange will be waived!

Can I exchange my item if it is out of stock? We apologize that the item you wanted to exchange is currently out of stock. Unfortunately, we are unable to process exchange orders for out-of-stock items. Instead, please return your item for a full refund or Shop Now to choose some other item with the store credit.

Can I change the shipping address for my exchange order?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate requests for address changes for exchange orders. Exchange shipments will ship to the address on the original order and cannot be modified.

COUPON CODE ADJUSTMENTS FOR ORDERS

Coupon code adjustment: We offer a one-time coupon code adjustment within 48 hours if you forget to enter your coupon code. Contact us within 48 hours of placing your order and please have your billing information, order number and coupon code on hand.
